Description

Whisprd is a voice-first messaging app with end-to-end encryption, no phone-number requirement, and an emergency wipe feature. Built with and for journalists, activists, and sources operating under real threat models, and audited by two independent security firms.

Problem

Most 'secure' messaging apps still leak metadata, require a phone number tied to a real identity, or aren't usable enough for sources under real duress to actually adopt.

Solution

Onion-routed voice transport, anonymous account creation via invite codes only, and a duress-PIN wipe feature, wrapped in an interface simple enough for non-technical sources.

Target market

Newsrooms, press-freedom NGOs, and human rights organizations, sold via institutional licenses that fund free individual use.

Business model

Paid institutional licenses for newsrooms and NGOs; free for individual at-risk users, subsidized by the institutional side.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to actually read the security audit before committing.
